If the person is trying to give you more of what he himself wants, but you do not, the situation might become more and more tense, even if the other person would have good intentions.

If the other person’s ways of working do not resonate with your values, you might drift more and more apart. If the person is important for you to be able to do a good job and to get results, you would need to understand more of each other’s perspectives.
